Listening Lesson: Truncated/Reduced Sounds

This activity includes an explanation of common truncated sounds in English along with dictation and 3 dialogues with comprehension exercises. The dialogues contain native speakers speaking at normal speed. Audio files for the dictation and dialogues are included. This lesson is appropriate for students that are advanced NRS. Sample sounds include her which becomes "er" and them which becomes "em."
